Description:
I utilize a strength based approach to career counseling. The goal is to be SMARTER about how you contribute your gifts to achieve career goals, to minimize distractions that pull you off course, and to maximize opportunities to attract environments that bring out your personal best. I incorporate tools and a coaching approach based on my book, Smart to Smarter- career guide for Smart People. Specifically, I work with the client to explore how to be career resilient, the importance tolerance, strategies to evolve and how to demonstrate the art of relationship reciprocity- the ability to lead and be led. I incorporate a counseling perspective (looking backward to understand current behavior) and a coaching perspective (looking forward to visualize your ideal self and then design actions to be your personal best. I listen first and often to understand your strengths, passions, personal and work environments, and your future aspirations. I strive to demonstrate honor and respect to our coaching alliance.
My Philosophy:
Our belief is that higher career satisfaction will result in higher performance outcomes and business profitability. Through career counseling and development strategies, our goal is to match an individual’s natural career passions with performance tasks to achieve career success and significance.
