Credentials:
B.S. in Psychology from St. Louis University, MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. Professional In Human Resources certification (PHR) from the Society of Human Resource Managers (SHRM). Jerry possesses hands on experience with the entire hiring process as a manager in a variety of industries including, manufacturing, private education, insurance, financial and consulting.
Experience:
Jerry is a Human Resource Professional with expertise as an HR Director, HR Consultant, Business Manager and Manufacturing Operations Manager. He has interviewed over 1,000 candidates for professional as well as blue-collar positions over a 25 year career span.

As a consultant his most recent career coaching has been with graduate students at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management where mock interviews were recorded on DVD then critiqued with the candidates. He specializes in interim HR directorship at clients with responsibility for recruitment and hiring for the organization requiring his leadership.

He also participates in the facilitation of his consulting firm's Interviewer Training Skills workshops, conducted for over 15 years, and used to train employees on how to conduct thorough interviews so the right candidate is hired the first time. These on-site workshops are done face-to-face and leave clients with the skills, confidence and expertise to be successful interviewers.
Description:
Candidate will be coached in resume writing and behavioral interviewing, with all types of interviews being explained, including the stress interview. Strengths and weaknesses will be assessed and opportunities to build competence as well as confidence will be stressed. The not so obvious aspects of the interview process will be emphasized as well as techniques that will make you stand out from the crowd. Candidates will rehearse a 30 second career elevator pitch to make that first impression a favorable one.
My Philosophy:
Interviewing success takes practice, competence, energy, confidence and honesty in order to be productive for the job seeker. There are techniques that can be learned to enhance the candidate's success rate. Every candidate has something unique to offer an employer and Jerry's goal is to identify that quality or talent and bring it out to the benefit of both parties. Successful candidates learn to identify the core competencies needed for the job at hand and they have the ability to convincingly match those competencies with their own to land the job.
