GoSavant—the only career-training marketplace that offers video-based learning,
live career coaching, and job resources—is looking for an innovative and eager social
media master and “people person” to fill the position of GoSavant Community Manager.
This cutting-edge platform facilitates learning by offering interactive video-based
courses and real-time live coaching. We have teamed up with award-winning public
speakers, producers, authors, and IT geeks to create the content and the site. A
privately held company founded in 2009, GoSavant is based in Chicago, Illinois.
Position Summary
GoSavant is seeking a Community Manager with exceptional interaction skills and
a strong background in social media and online community relations. The GoSavant
Community Manager will be responsible for all day-to-day community relations on
GoSavant.com and building an audience for the GoSavant brand across various social
networks.
Community Manager Responsibilities
 |
Create and manage online communities on behalf of GoSavant |
 |
Pursue initiatives to welcome and engage users in GoSavant’s various online communities |
 |
Establish and enforce standards for the GoSavant community and interact directly
with users to promote the GoSavant brand |
 |
Interact with GoSavant editorial and coaching staff to promote integration between
content and community |
 |
Report to senior staff about successes and lessons from community and demonstrate
consistent growth within priority online communities |
Position Qualifications

Communicable and demonstrable experience and expertise in online community development |

Experience moderating group discussions |
 |
Experience managing community leaders |
 |
Experience growing brands on social networks from the ground up |
 |
Creative, innovative, and wacky qualities |
Specific Skills Preferred
 |
Friendliness, diplomacy, and imperturbability are good character traits for this

Good sense of decorum and brand appropriateness |

Success at establishing rules and policies to create team productiveness and community

In September, GoSavant will announce the five finalists for the position, who will
be invited to a special event where they will have the opportunity to briefly present
to the GoSavant hiring team the work they’ve done in the previous month to build
the GoSavant buzz. At the end of the event, one of the five finalists will be offered
the position of GoSavant Community Manager. |
